Aquatic Dreams
Generative video, sound · Commissioned by Ela Hotels · 2023
This is a dream habitat filled with Koi fish, banana trees, and healing water with starlices released. It changes, and transforms like every dream; it is always in flux. A peaceful flow like the silence of the water, a soft flow like a dream. This habitat envelops and welcomes you like a modern and healing home, blending into nature that absorbs the beautiful moments.
I am an artist from the architectural discipline, so I attach importance to how people experience and encounter a digital work in common living spaces. I am very aware of its direct effect on perception, since basically what they are exposed to is sound and light. For this reason, I pay attention to this effect while preparing my works of art. I seek peace in all of them.
It's all about feeling. Whether it's art, architecture or music, it's all about how you feel in the end. For this reason, the work I positioned in this space also focuses on feelings. Peaceful, naive, calm, in a sweet flow. While creating this work of art, I dreamed of an environment where I could find peace in my mind and feel the beauty of nature inside me. I thought I was working and in a naive peace of mind. I imagined myself in a live aquarium myself. An aquarium that has no borders but we only see a small part of it. Pleasantness with joy, where the days passed peacefully, the calmness enveloped me there... I dreamed of inviting people here, too. It will be valuable to live this beauty together and to live in a balanced and integrated way.
