A Flag Awaiting the Wind, made with Alper Aydın for the exhibition “How Should a War Be Remembered?” at CerModern. Taking Toby Clark’s War and Propaganda as its starting point, the exhibition asked interdisciplinary questions about war as a social condition.
Black, grey and red were chosen deliberately across the show and its documents: the pain war creates and sustains, its violence and darkness, the thin line between life and death, and the mourning of genocide.
