Spine by Ecem Dilan Köse

Commagene, holding a magnificent history of archaeological remains, is the bridge between western and eastern civilisation — a meeting place between the people of ancient times and the people of today.

An imaginary civilisation; or perhaps not imaginary at all, but the civilisation of the new human. And the spine as the core that carries it: a spine changed, transformed, sometimes broken and sometimes rewoven by the forces of a new age. A transmission of historical knowledge, and a magnificent conversation.

It stands there to tell its own history to Antiochus at sunrise, on the sacred ground where history itself began to be written at a sunrise — to share, and to take counsel from the past.

What does the new human, advancing in technology and science, tell the kings? And what does it hear from them? On the terrace where history begins with a sunrise and the conversation ends with a sunset, the essence of the human, civilisations and the modern individual are considered together.
